GusBravo-Attorney-at-LawGustavo A. Bravo is the founding and managing partner of Bravo Law, a boutique South Florida trial and litigation law firm. For over a decade Gus has delivered common sense solutions to his South Florida clients facing business and litigation disputes.

Gus maintains an AV® rating as per the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory – the highest attorney rating as voted by peers in the legal community. He also is rated “Superb” by Avvo.com – the highest rating given by Avvo.com for professional ethics and ability.

Born in Santiago, Chile, Gus moved with his family to South Florida at the age of seven. Eventually settling in Coral Springs, Gus grew up playing soccer with many of South Florida’s elite soccer clubs. After earning the Sun-Sentinel’s Broward County Player of the Year honors as a senior at Coral Springs High, Gus received a full scholarship to play soccer at Nova Southeastern University.

At NSU, Gus led his team to multiple conference titles and served as a 3 year captain. Yet, more importantly, Gus discovered a passion for the law at NSU’s pre-law program, graduating with honors in 1997. Gus also proudly served as sports editor of the campus newspaper, feeding his insatiable passion for sports.

Gus then continued his legal education at the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law. After serving as an editor of the invitation-only Florida Law Review and graduating with honors in 2001, Gus embarked on his legal career by working for two of Florida’s oldest and largest law firms.

First, at Carlton Fields, P.A., Gus was a member of the firm’s Toxic Torts and Products Liability Practice Group where he worked on various “bet the company” type cases for several Fortune 100 companies. Some of these matters included tobacco litigation, vehicle-rollover litigation, pharmaceutical class actions, and bad faith insurance litigation.

Then, at Holland & Knight, LLP, Gus joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Group where he handled a wide-range of complex commercial litigation matters, including construction defect cases, property insurance litigation, and intellectual property litigation.

In 2009, Gus teamed up with a childhood friend and founded Salomon Bravo, PL. Serving as head of the small firm’s civil practice enabled Gus to work almost exclusively with small business owners and learn first-hand how their needs differ and, at times, mirror those of large companies. Maintaining the big firm quality without sacrificing the small firm value allowed Gus to successfully defend small business owners in various areas, including contract disputes, shareholder disputes, labor and employment, trademark infringement, securities litigation, and consumer claims.

Eventually, in 2013, Gus furthered his entrepreneurial spirit and founded Bravo Law with the simple goal of continuing to find better ways to serve his South Florida small business and individual clients.

Neil D. Kodsi

Neil D. KodsiNeil D. Kodsi, of counsel, is a seasoned trial lawyer with nearly 20 years of jury trial experience. Neil has tried numerous cases to verdict in both federal and state court, including cases involving many different theories of liability, including breach of contract, bad faith, first-party insurance, patent infringement, employment discrimination, product liability, toxic tort, wrongful death, and personal injury.

Neil maintains an AV® rating as per the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory – the highest attorney rating as voted by peers in the legal community. He also is rated “Superb” by Avvo.com – the highest rating given by Avvo.com for professional ethics and ability.

Neil previously worked for large national and/or regional law firms, where he was one of the “go-to” trial lawyers for those firms for complex cases involving highly complicated expert testimony.Neil’s skills as a trial lawyer have been recognized nationally and locally. He has received public recognition for his skills as a trial advocate in a wide array of cases, ranging from representation of Fortune 100 corporations in high-profile complex wrongful death cases to serving as pro-bono trial counsel representing thousands of Florida Citizens seeking Medicare coverage. Most recently, in March 2012, Neil served as pro bono litigation counsel for a group of autistic children seeking to defeat another Florida State Policy — one that was denying coverage for behavioral therapy for the more than 8,500 autistic children in Florida covered by Medicaid. After a four-day trial in front of U.S. District Court Judge Joan Lenard, Neil and his co-counsel obtained an Order requiring the State of Florida to provide this treatment for all autistic children in Florida covered by Medicaid. In her Order, Judge Lenard referred to this case as one of the most important cases she has heard in her sixteen years on the bench. This case also has received substantial national media attention.

Simply put, Neil is — first and foremost — a trial lawyer. And it is this trial experience that enables Bravo Law to develop proactive, cost-effective strategies for its clients at all levels of the legal spectrum.
